Organic Babassu Kernel

Babassu Kernel is very similar to coconut oil but with some key advantages. It’s lighter, absorbs faster and doesn’t clog pores. You can still expect a healthy dose of natural Vitamin E and a powerhouse Fatty Acid Profile (Stearic, Oleic and Linoleic). Babassu works in our cleansing balm to provide the gorgeous, semi-solid texture and it creates a thick “slip” to remove dirt, pollution, oil and makeup without dragging your delicate skin.

Organic Castor Seed Oil (for eyelashes and eyebrows)

Castor seeds are an ancient crop and subsequently their thick, nourishing, sap-like oil has been used in countless beauty routines for centuries. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence that castor seed oil encourages hair growth, but we like to focus more on its potent moisturising and nourishing properties. Castor seed oil penetrates and protects the hair strands, and yes, this applies to eyelashes and eyebrows too. Castor seed oil gives our natural cleansing balm a richness that provides intense skin nourishment without leaving a greasy feel behind.

Organic Distilled Lime

We’re proud to say that our organic, distilled lime oil truly smells divine but has a very important job to do: It has a high content of vitamin C, which can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, improve elasticity, and produce collagen. Lime also has antibacterial properties which make it perfect for acne/blemish-prone skin, as well as dry, flaky patches of skin. This special oil is often used in aromatherapy for its uplifting scent that promotes feelings of happiness, calming the mind and easing anxiety.

Apply a finger-full onto dry skin and massage for 1-2 minutes. To remove, use the hot-cloth method (lightly press and steam your skin with a very warm, damp cloth).

For heavy eye/lip makeup, we recommend cleansing these areas first and then following with the rest of your face and neck. 

You can also “mask” with our cleansing balm for additional hydration and gentle fruit acid exfoliation. Apply a thick layer and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before removing. This is lovely to use in the bath with a face cloth, or paired with your skin tools/facial massage. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Avoid direct contact with eyes. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children.

CAN I USE IT WITH OTHER EXFOLIATORS (PHYSICAL/CHEMICAL) OR AS A FIRST CLEANSE IN A 2-STEP CLEANSE ROUTINE?

YES! Our Fruit Acid Cleansing Balm is gentle enough to be used twice a day, with or without additional exfoliation steps in your skincare routine. In fact, you can opt for a double cleanse method using our exfoliating micro-polish, Sea Quartz.

First Cleanse = Juice Cleanse Fruit Acid Cleansing Balm (no need to for the hot-cloth method unless using this cleanser around your eyes). Second Cleanse = Sea Quartz Exfoliating Micro-Polish

IS IT NATURAL AND VEGAN?

YES! Our Fruit Acid Cleansing Balm is 100% plant-based, natural, vegan, cruelty free and biodegradable.

DOES IT CONTAIN SLS (SULPHATES)?

NO! We don’t use any Sulphates in our cleansing balm. This product is non-foaming and you’ll use the hot-cloth method to remove it.

IS IT GLUTEN FREE?

Yes, our Fruit Acid Cleansing Balm is gluten free. We use wheatgerm oil in the cleanser formulation. This is a gluten free oil, despite sounding to the contrary. The refining process to make wheatgerm oil removes the gluten proteins from the final product. A gluten free ingredient declaration statement is available upon request.

IS IT SOY & NUT FREE?

Yes, our Fruit Acid Cleansing Balm is soy and nut free. However, we use ingredients that may have been packed on premises that handles nuts (including peanuts), seeds, cereals, soy and products containing gluten prior to coming to our facility for mixing up into our lovely range of products.
