I started Awake Organics in 2017 with one goal: to generate a little income so I could stay at home and raise my babies.

I’m proud to say that I come from a long line of wholesome farm-women (three generations of homesteaders on the Saskatchewan prairies). And, when I was a kid growing up in Canada, we made everything “luxurious” from scratch. I remember crushing up seeds with Mum for face masks, and my Gran pulling out her homemade cold cream straight from the fridge if I had a sunburn.

I recreated some simple formulas when my daughter was born in 2005. Then perfected my skills over many years before selling at small markets around Northamptonshire when I first moved to England.

What began as a kitchen-table experiment, has now blossomed into a multi-award-winning business with thousands of customers all over the world. My children are about to leave the nest, and while I have achieved my original goal, my wholesome values have never changed. This is a family business, we use the finest natural ingredients that get results, and we still freshly make our products.
