I founded Awake Organics in 2017 with a simple goal: to earn an income while staying home to raise my children. What started as a kitchen-table experiment has grown into a multi-award-winning brand with customers around the world, but the heart of it remains the same.

I come from three generations of homesteaders on the Saskatchewan prairies, where I learned to make natural products from scratch. I remember the joy of making lumpy face masks from crushed seeds with my mum, and feeling the cold, homemade cream on my sunburned cheeks that my Gran kept in the fridge. Those early lessons in craft, care and family shaped everything I do today.

When my daughter was born in 2005, a baby shampoo caused a harsh reaction. I became determined to create healthy, natural products inspired by my family traditions. Over years of experimentation, I created some early formulas that worked, and when we moved to England in 2015, I began sharing them at local markets.

Now my children are adults, I’ve achieved my original goal, yet the values that sparked Awake Organics remain unchanged. It’s still a family business, still made fresh with the finest natural ingredients, and we're more committed than ever to creating healthy products that truly work.
