What is DHT?

Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a hormone. Your body converts testosterone to DHT with the help of enzymes held in the oil glands of your hair follicles.

1. Give your bottle a firm whack on the top, bottom and sides to loosen any shampoo powder that may have settled. Do this routinely to avoid clumping and settling over time.

2. Shake a small amount of the shampoo powder onto your palm, which should already be wet from the shower. The amount you need will depend on your hair type and length. For shoulder-length, thick hair, try a 50p coin size.

3. Rub hands together to form a paste. Your hands should be wet enough to get it going, don't add additional water to the powder.

4. Massage the paste onto roots of wet hair and lather. Rinse as usual. Follow with conditioner.

Avoid contact with your eyes and avoid getting water in the bottle.
