1. Wet your hair. Warm-and-Smoosh the Scalp Scrub very well between your palms until it's soft and spreadable. This is a waterless product, and it needs a little energy to soften it.
2. Spread the Scalp Scrub onto your scalp, and gently massage your roots, using a back-and-forth motion with your fingertips for 2 minutes. You may find it easier to flip your head over to get instant access to your roots.
3. Rinse with warm water and follow with our shampoo and conditioner.

Coconut oil is brimming with essential fatty acids that deliver a healthy dose of moisture, penetrating the hair shaft and helping to repair stressed hair strands. In theory this product should work well but it’s so thick it was impossible to distribute throughout scalp so I never really was able to get enough of it on the actually scrub the scalp. This is also a very small jar - in order to get enough product on the scalp you’d need to use most of the jar. I tried thinning the product out with water but as it’s oily it doesn’t work too well. A thinner product with more in the jar and it might actually have results that benefit the scalp.

While our formula is intentionally concentrated to deliver potent natural ingredients to the scalp, we recognise this can make application more challenging. For easier distribution, we recommend scooping out the product and emulsifying it in your palms first (wet hands required). It's also helpful to flip your head upside down and use your fingertips to massage your roots (flipping your hair will give you easier access to your scalp) The concentrated formula is designed so that a little goes a long way, though we appreciate your feedback about the jar size and consistency. Our natural oils and exfoliating ingredients are carefully chosen to help reduce scalp discomfort, though we understand the current texture may not work for everyone's preferences. Thanks to using this product in combination with the shampoo and conditioner, I am not only dandruff -free for the first time ever in my life, but can also go a full week without shampooing my hair (I do rinse it through with warm water a couple of times between). Amazing.
