Waterless Skincare For Every Age

Waterless skincare for under 35, over 35, over 45, over 70 by Awake Organics

A natural skincare routine can completely transform the appearance of your skin, especially if it contains efficacious natural ingredients that don't mess with your skin barrier function (ie. waterless skincare that excludes anti-bacterial preservatives). But when it comes to waterless skincare products, it’s important to know how much to use and how often.

Understanding this will help you get the best out of your natural skincare products and tailor a skincare routine that works amazingly well for your skin.

Our faces are all different and so is our skin! Depending on your age, ethnicity, and skin type, you may have to adjust your usage to suit you best.

As a general rule, waterless natural skincare routines are applied in a much more sparingly way than a traditional skincare routine. This is because waterless skincare products are very concentrated and traditional skincare is made of mostly water (up to 95% in many cases).

Under 35?

You will have effortlessly bouncy skin that requires light product application and some exfoliation from time-to-time. Your skin may still be a bit blemish-prone, so apply waterless skincare with a sprinkle of water whenever possible.

Over 35?

You may start to see a slight reduction in radiance and require a bit more time in your routine for regular exfoliation and nourishment. It's not all about skincare though, dietary supplements can make a noticeable difference here to.

Here's how to follow our waterless skincare routine, step-by-step.

Over 45?

You may be noticing that your skin is drier than ever before (thanks a lot, hormones!). Regular exfoliation will be key, and you'll probably do better with a few extra drops of Serum and a larger pea-size of Divine Skin. Massage with a light touch will encourage blood flow and help tone your skin. Don't forget to eat well and get enough sleep.

Over 70?

Regular exfoliation and a very nourishing moisturising routine will keep your skin feeling comfortable, smooth soft and more dewy. You'll do better with a few extra drops of Serum and a larger pea-size of Divine Skin. You may even apply this more than twice a day if your skin likes it. Massage and light touch will also help to encourage blood flow and tone your skin. Bathing is also a nice way to incorporated some extra magnesium into your routine through transdermal absorption. Magnesium helps with sleep, aches and pains, clearer thinking and that all impacts the appearance of our skin.
